My first piece I've been working on for Echoes.
This piece is an expression of the empowerment people receive from their favorite music.
It can make us a strong, proud animal...these songs can echo throughout our daily lives
and give us the strength to walk tall, move on and look ahead.
I guess, the vibe of Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive.' The lyrics are great in that song.
Wonderfully empowering lyrics like:
"And I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself. I used to cry!
But now I hold my head up high.
And you see me somebody new!
I'm not that chained-up little person still in love with you."
I based the animal around a Tiger, they always give me the sense of being strong, defiant
but also very beautiful.
